Parfums de Nicolaï (exclusive in Australia) Born in Paris in 1957, Patricia de Nicolaï spent her childhood in the Guerlain family house in Paris and, as a direct descendent of the founder, she has been in contact with 4 generation of Guerlains. Her boudoir was an extension of the family laboratory and was the place where the most famous Guerlain fragrances, like Shalimar, were discussed - her personal fragrance was Guerlain's Après l'ondée. Later Patricia studied chemistry and attended ISIPCA a university specialising in perfumery, based in Versailles and created by her uncle Jean-Jacques Guerlain. In 1989, with her husband Jean-Louis Michau, she started Parfums de Nicolaï and continued a prestigious family history that dates back more than 200 years old. Her philosophy is that the perfumer is never the star, the products taking the limelight. In 1988 she received the prize of the Best International Perfumer from the French Society of Perfumers for her perfume Number One. Her spicy oriental men's scent New York often tops the list of modern favourites in perfume polls. Parfums de Nicolaï now distributes a large range of fragrances for men and women, colognes, home fragrances, oils and candles and beautiful handmade perfume lamps through a series of boutiques in Paris, London and Canada. Art of Man is delighted to be the sole Australian stockist of her scents, particularly her line of legendary fragrances for Men.
